Post 5: A photo and its story

 I really like this series of photographs:


This photograph is very important because represents the union of two great artists of 20th century. Jascha Heifetz was known as one of the best violinists the world has ever known, Heifetz was born in the 20th century in Lithuania to a family of Jewish origin, was a child prodigy and made his public debut at the age of 7.
Gjon Mili was an American photographer whose best known photographs are motion studies, "light drawings". Among his most outstanding works is the photographic session in long exposure with Pablo Picasso.
For his series with Heifetz, Mili attached a light to the violinist’s bow and had him play in Mili’s darkened studio, letting the camera record the bow’s movement through a variety of pieces and styles. In this one, you can practically see music spilling over Heifetz.
In technical violin aspects this work shows all of us shows all of us the "pull-push" he uses with his bow to the string

The Ugly truth of my career

 My career is music interpretation, and it has benefits and downsides...  First of all, we need to understand that the world of music is very competitive and strict, and we're going to find all kinds of people, starting for the most humble person, to the most egocentric. My worst experience studying my instrument was in a youth orchestra. That was the last reharsal before the concert in a theater, I was around 15 years old and I had not studied an especific excerpt. The orchestra conductor realized that, and he forced me to play in front of my colleagues, I felt embarrased. Fortunately, apart from this conductor, all the teachers I have had have been very good and understanding.  In my student life, I try to sleep 8 hours at night, because if I sleep less I don feel good. The end of semester is verry stressing for all of us, in my personal oppinion, y try to keep my mental health good, so, if I am backdated in a subject, I strive only to finish it well, I don't push ...

The Best Vacation Ever

 Hi, this is my first blog in the second semester, and I going to talk about the best vacation I ever had. It wasn't a vacation, it was actually a musical tour with the youth national orchestra of Chile in August 2019. We went to Marruecos: Casablancas, Alemania: Kassel and Berlin, and España: El Escorial, and Alicante, this was a beutiful experience to me because I'd never travelled so far from Chile, and that was amazing. With the orchestra we played many concerts in each city, and we had days off where we could go around the city, go to the beach, go to the pool of the hotel, and partying.  I coudn’t choose the best city I liked the most, because they all had a different charms! It has the best vacation ever because since I sarted to play the violin, my dream was travelled doing music, and I had the opportunity to visit many cities and towns of Chile, but I never had the opportunity to visit other country, untill now.

English languaje challenges

 Hi! this is the last post and I am going to talk about my experience in English class.  I really liked the english class in the faculty, but I would liked that it was in person, because that is more comfortable and useful for me. The use of blogs was very helpfull to me, because I needed to practice writing. So, now I need to talk more, because in the online classes I didn't feel confident for talking, so I think I'll be forced to answer in person! hahaha So, my plan is try to talk more in english with my friends, and in a near future, travel to so many countries that I'll have to use my english. In 2019 I traveled to morocco and germany, countries where the only thing in common to be able to communicate was english, and I realized that it was not as bad as I thought. Now, after 4 semesters of English, I feel that I am very prepared to be able to arrive in a country and manage much better than in 2019.
